A Natural Interruption

Our conversation is halted
As a lonesome bumble bee,
the first I have noticed this year,
rollarcoasters down over our heads
Straight for a purple wallflower
Delicately poised, ready to embrace
Then over the fence flitting erratically,
an eye catching fluorescent yellow butterfly
A Brimstone
Teases past all the flowers deciding not to stop.
The moment passes
Excitement over,
and the birds resume singing in our ears
